After IaaS, Saas and Daas, Osiatis completes its Cloud Services proposition with the addition of the Microsoft Paas (Platform as a Service) building block. Windows Azure allows third parties to create and then operate web applications and services, such as hosting, storage and the administration of cloud computing applications. PaaS is in keeping with Osiatis' strategy of offering its customers innovative services that are infrastructure-focused and take account of the application dimension.
Osiatis' Windows Azure know-how is borne by its service centre in Rouen, whose consultants have already developed and opened up customer applications to the world of Microsoft cloud computing. Their expertise has led Microsoft to recognise Osiatis as a member of its Windows Azure Circle.
Fabien van Laecken, Manager of the Osiatis service centre stated: "Complementarity between the cloud computing propositions we have developed based on our Osiatis Cloud Center platform and the advanced functionalities of Azure have enabled us to offer our customers an extensive range of solutions and to design upgradeable environments with them, which can evolve as their business requirements change."
"Osiatis will be able to take advantage of its expertise in the field of infrastructure to create new Windows Azure-associated services", stated Julien Lesaicherre, Product Manager - Windows Azure for Microsoft France. "Osiatis is able to create synergies between private and public clouds, in particular in cases of overflow or storage as a service. This new partnership will materialise the advantages of a hybrid cloud for many customers", he added.
