India's leading gourmet coffee brand DEVI now in the USA

NEW YORK, May 31, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sussegado Coffee India (www.sussegadocoffee.com), owner of India’s leading gourmet coffee brand DEVI Coffee, announced today that a wide variety of its premium coffees are now available in the USA. This is the first time a premium Indian coffee roasted and packed in India is available in the United States. “We have been exporting for years to Asia and Europe, entering the US market was a natural expansion for our company” – said Devika Dutt, MD of Sussegado Coffee India.

In India, DEVI Coffee is the leading gourmet coffee brand. It is available in national retail chains such as Godrej Nature Basket, Foodhall, Westside Gourmet, HyperCity, SPAR, Spencers, and several regional gourmet stores across the country.  The company has recently launched Live Coffee Counters (LCC) in partnership with Godrej Natures Basket and Westside, a model that has been very well received by customers.  The company aims to increase their LCC to 30 by the end of this year. “The US is a very mature coffee market where the consumers are accustomed to high-end gourmet coffees.  Given the high quality of our coffees, we are confident that we can make DEVI Coffee a successful name amongst the American coffee aficionados. We have seen a surge in demand from US distributors and retailers already.”

Based in Goa, India, Sussegado specializes in gourmet, specialty and artisan coffees.  Since the release of the DEVI line in 2015, DEVI coffee has grown to become the preferred choice of coffee for many luxury hotels and restaurants across India. “We have seen a rapid growth in India, and our order books are filled with new roll outs this year. DEVI gourmet coffee bars are available at several locations in Goa and Mumbai, and soon will be available in Bangalore and Delhi.”

DEVI coffees also come in unique naturally flavored varieties as well as rare whisky and rum barrel aged coffees.  “The demand for DEVI coffee is increasing continuously in India. We have seen that more of the Indian customers are switching to premium Indian brands, versus the usual Italian brands. From the very beginning of this venture, we have maintained that the most important aspect of the product is what’s inside the packet. It is not enough to print artisan, or gourmet, or a “cool” name on the label, what truly matters is the quality inside the packet. That is what sets DEVI coffee apart.”
